jo moksh-dharm ka jnan rakhane vale sanyami aur uttam prakar se vrat ka acharan karane vale yogi haian, paancharatr agam ke janane vale shreshth purush haian, param bhagavat haian, vanaprasth-dharm ka palan karane vale, kul mean shreshth aur vaidik achar ka anushthan karane vale haian. jo man ko sanyam mean rakhakar shreshth brahmanoan ko itihas sunate haian, jo mahabhashy aur vyakaran ke vidvan haian tatha jo puran aur dharmashash‍troan ka nyayapoorvak adhyayan karake unaki ajna ke anusar vidhivat acharan karane valean haian, jinhoanne niyamit samay tak gurukul mean nivas karake vedadhyayan kiya hai, jo pariksha ke sahasroan avasaroan par satyavadi siddh huai haian tatha jo charoan vedoan ke padhane-padhane mean agragany haian, aise brahman pankti ko jitani door dekhate haian utani door mean baithe hue brahmanoan ko pavitr kar dete haian. pankti ko pavitr karane ke karan hi unhean pankti-pavan kaha jata hai.

brahmavadi purushoan ki yah manyata hai ki ved ki shiksha dene vale evan brahmajnani purushoan ke vansh mean utpann hua brahman akela hi sadhe tin kos tak ka sthan pavitr kar sakata hai. jo rritvik ya adhyapak n ho, vah bhi yadi rritvijoan ki ajna lekar shraddh mean agrasan grahan karata hai to pankti ke dosh ko har leta hai arthat door kar deta hai.

rajan! yadi koee vedajn brahman sab prakar ke pankti-doshoan se rahit hai aur patit nahian hua hai to vah panktipavan hi hai. isaliye sab prakar ki cheshtaoan se brahmanoan ki pariksha karake hi unhean shraddh mean nimantrit karana chahiye. ve svakarm mean tatpar rahane vale, kulin aur bahushrut hone chahiye. jisake shraddhoan ke bhojan mean mitroan ki pradhanata rahati hai, usake ve shraddh evan havishy pitaroan aur devataoan ko tript nahian karate haian tatha vah shraddhakarta purush svarg mean nahian jata hai. jo manushy shraddh mean bhojan dekar usase mitrata jo data hai, vah mrityu ke bad devamarg se nahian jane pata. jaise pipal ka phal danthal se tootakar niche gir jata hai, vaise hi shraddh ko mitrata ka sadhan banane vala purush svargalok se bhrasht ho jata hai. isaliye shraddhakarta ko chahiye ki vah shraddh mean mitr ko nimantran n de.

mitroan ka santusht karane ke liye dhan dena uchit hai. shraddh mean bhojan to use hi karana chahiye jo shatru ya mitr n hokar madhyasth ho. jaise oosar mean boya hua bij n to jamata hai aur n bone vale ko usaka koee phal milata hai, usi prakar ayogy brahmanoan ko bhojan karaya hua shraddh ka ann, n is lok mean labh pahuanchata hai, n paralok mean hi koee phal deta hai. jaise ghas-phoos ki ag shighr hi shaant ho jati hai, usi prakar svadhyayahin brahman tejahin ho jata hai, atah use shraddh ka dan nahian dena chahiye, kyoanki rat mean koee bhi havan nahian karata.

jo log ek-doosare ke yahaan shraddh mean bhojan karake paraspar dakshina dete aur lete haian, unaki vah dan-dakshina 'pishach-dakshina' kahalati hai. vah n devataoan ko milati hai, n pitaroan ko. jisaka bachh da mar gaya hai, aisi punyahina gau jaise du:khi hokar gaushala mean hi chakkar lagati rahati hai, usi prakar apas mean di aur li huee dakshina isi lok mean rah jati hai, vah pitaroan tak nahian pahuanchane pati.
