मुचुकुन्द की कथा

'shrimadbhagavat mahapuran'[1] ke anusar- parikshit ne shrishukadevaji se poochha- "bhagavan! jisake drishtipat matr se kalayavan jalakar bhasm ho gaya, vah purush kaun tha? kis vansh ka tha? usamean kaisi shakti thi aur vah kisaka putr tha? ap kripa karake yah bhi batalaiye ki vah parvat ki gufa mean jakar kyoan so raha tha?"

isaliye prabho! maian sattvagun, rajogun aur tamogun se sambandh rakhane vali samast kamanaoan ko chho dakar keval maya ke leshamatr sambandh se rahit, gunatit, ek-advitiy, chitsvaroop paramapurush apaki sharan grahan karata hooan. bhagavan! maian anadikal se apane karmaphaloan ko bhogate-bhogate atyant art ho raha tha, unaki duahkhad jvala rat-din mujhe jalati rahati thi. mere chhah shatru[2] kabhi shant n hote the, unaki vishayoan ki pyas badhati hi ja rahi thi. kabhi kisi prakar ek kshan ke liye bhi mujhe shanti n mili. sharanadata! ab maian apake bhay, mrityu aur shok se rahit charanakamaloan ki sharan mean aya hooan. sare jagat ke ekamatr svami! paramatman! ap mujh sharanagat ki raksha kijiye."

bhagavan shrikrishn ne kaha- "sarvabhaum maharaj! tumhari mati, tumhara nishchay b da hi pavitr aur ooanchi koti ka hai. yadyapi maianne tumhean bar-bar var dene ka pralobhan diya, phir bhi tumhari buddhi kamanaoan ke adhin n huee. maianne tumhean jo var dene ka pralobhan diya, vah keval tumhari savadhani ki pariksha ke liye. mere jo anany bhakt hote haian, unaki buddhi kabhi kamanaoan se idhar-udhar nahian bhatakati. jo log mere bhakt nahian hote, ve chahe pranayam adi ke dvara apane man ko vash mean karane ka kitana hi prayatn kyoan n karean, unaki vasanaean kshin nahian hotian aur rajan! unaka man phir se vishayoan ke liye machal p data hai. tum apane man aur sare manobhavoan ko mujhe samarpit kar do, mujhamean laga do aur phir svachhandaroop se prithvi par vicharan karo. mujhamean tumhari vishay-vasana shoony nirmal bhakti sada bani rahegi. tumane kshatriy dharm ka acharan karate samay shikar adi ke avasaroan par bahut-se pashuoan ka vadh kiya hai. ab ekagrachitt se meri upasana karate hue tapasya ke dvara us pap ko dho dalo. rajan! agale janm mean tum brahman banoge aur samast praniyoan ke sachche hitaishi, param suhrid hooge tatha phir mujh vishuddh vijnanaghan paramatma ko prapt karoge."
