- janardan! unaka lobh itana badh gaya hai ki ve duryodhan ki hi haan-mean-haan milate haian aur apana hi priy kary karate hue hamare sath mithhya vyavahar kar rahe haian. (12)
- janardan! isase badhakar mahan du:kh ki bat aur kya ho sakati hai ki maian apani mata tatha mitroan ka bhi achchhi tarah bharan-poshan tak nahian kar skata. (13)
- madhusoodan! yadyapi kashi, chedi, paanchal aur matsyadesh ke vir hamare sahayak haian aur ap ham logoan ke rakshak aur svami haian; ap logoan ki sahayata se ham sara rajy le sakate haian tathapi maianne keval paanch hi gaanv maange the. (14)
- govind! maianne dhritarashhtr se yahi kaha tha ki tat! ap hamean avisthal, vrikasthal, makandi, varanavat aur antim paanchavaan koee-sa bhi gaanv jise ap dena chahean, de dean. is prakar hamare liye paanch gaanv ya nagar de dean; jinamean ham paanchoan bhaee ek sath milakar rah sakean aur hamare karan bharatavanshiyoan ka nash n ho. - manushhy uttam kul mean janm lekar aur vriddh hone par bhi yadi doosaroan ke dhan ko lena chahata hai to vah lobh usaki vichar shakti ko nashht kar deta hai. vichar shakti nashht hone par usaki lajja ko bhi nashht kar deti hai. (18)
- nashht huee lajja dharm ko nashht kar deti hai. nashht hua dharm manushhy ki sampatti ka nash kar deta hai aur nashht huee sampatti us manushhy ka vinash kar deti hai, kyoanki dhan ka abhav hi manushhy ka vadh hai. (19)
- shrikrishhn! dhanahin purush se usake bhaee-bandhu, suhridh aur brahman log bhi usi prakar muanh mo d lete haian, jaise pakshi pushhp aur phal se hin vriksh ko chho dakar u d jate haian. (20)
- tat! jaise patit manushhy ke nikat se log door bhagate haian aur jaise mrit sharir se pran nikal jate haian, usi prakar mere kutumbijan bhi jo mujhase muanh mo d rahe haian, yahi mere liye maran hai. (21)
- jahaan aj aur kal sabere ke liye bhojan nahian dikhayi deta, us daridrata se badhakar doosari koee du:khadayini avastha nahian haian; yah shambar ka kathan haian. (22)
- dhan ko uttam dharm ka sadhak bataya gaya hai. dhan mean sab kuchh pratishthit hai. sansar mean dhani manushhy hi jivan dharan karate haian. jo nirdhan haian, ve to mare hue ke hi saman haian. (23)
- jo log apane bal mean sthit hokar kisi manushhy ko dhan se vanchit kar dete haian, ve usake dharm, arth aur kam ko to nashht karate hi haian, us manushhy ko bhi nashht kar dete haian. (24)
- is nirdhan avastha ko pakar kitane hi manushhyoan ne mrityu ka varan kiya hai. kuchh log gaanv chho dakar doosare gaanv mean ja base haian, kitane hi jangaloan mean chale gaye haian aur kitane hi manushhy pran dene ke liye ghar se nikal p de haian. (25)

- dhan-sampatti ka nash manushhy ke liye bhari vipatti hi hai. vah mrityu se bhi badhakar hai, kyoanki sampatti hi manushhy ke dharm aur kam ki siddhi ka karan hai. (27)
